Description

Kickstart your day with a bowl of hearty oatmeal topped with fresh apple slices and freeze-dried blueberries. Apples add fiber to keep you full, while freeze-dried blueberries bring antioxidants that support immune health.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk(unsweetened or sweetened, based on preference)
  • 2 tbsp freeze-dried blueberries
  • 1/2 tsp honey (or adjust to taste)
  • Optional toppings: Sliced almonds, chia seeds, or a dollop of almond butter

Instructions

  1. Heat almond milk
    • Heat the almond milk over medium heat in a small saucepan until it simmers.
  2. Cook the oats
    • Stir in the oats and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats absorb most of the almond milk and reach your desired consistency.
  3. Add freeze-dried blueberries and cinnamon.
    • Stir in the freeze-dried blueberries and cinnamon. Cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing the blueberries to soften slightly and infuse their flavor into the oatmeal.
  4. Sweeten with honey
    • Remove the saucepan from the heat and drizzle honey over the oatmeal. Stir to combine.
  5. Serve and enjoy
    • Transfer the oatmeal to a bowl. Add any optional toppings for extra flavor or texture. Serve warm.

Notes

I substituted organic 1% milk for the almond milk. Delicious!
