For the Bread:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (use Honeycrisp for best results.)
For the Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze (Optional but delicious!):
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Prepare the Batter:
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Make the Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
- Assemble the Bread:
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
- Use a butter knife to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter for a marbled effect.
- Bake:
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Make the Glaze (Optional):
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
- Serve:
- Slice and serve your delicious apple bread! Its perfect on its own or paired with butter or cream cheese.

- Use firm apples like Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji to balance sweetness and tartness.
- You can add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter for extra texture.
